Over 5,300 people involved in the pizza and ice cream businesses walked this year’s energetic show floor that was buzzing with activity. Attendees participated in lively educational seminars where new and seasoned operators alike walked away with innovative ideas to make their businesses more profitable. Crowd favorites included the jam-packed show floor, Interactive Pizza Test Kitchen and Frozen Dessert Theater.
Congratulations to the winners of the Pizza Pizzazz Competition! Lisa Dodson of Dodson’s Pizza, New Lexington, Ohio, and Joseph Capozio of Capozio’s, Benton Harbor, Michigan, out baked 110 other contestants taking home the top prize of $7,500 each for baking the best pizzas in their respective categories. Dodson’s award-winning “BLT” pizza took top honors in the gourmet pizza division while Capozio’s “Combination” won the traditional pizza division.
