Thank You For Making NAPICS 2012 A Success!

Thanks to you, our valued attendees, NAPICS 2012 was a memorable success. You, along with some thousands of your foodservice peers, walked our show floor aisles seeing, tasting and touching the latest wares, foods and beverages from over 175 exhibiting companies.

With the insights you provided us through last year’s attendee survey, we were able to pack even more dynamic programming designed into this year’s program. Workshops and seminars Sunday and Monday attracted nearly 1,000 attendees to learn more about marketing and managing their businesses and maximizing revenue.

An Experience and an Education
NAPICS’ one-of-a-kind Interactive Pizza Test Kitchen drew crowds for hands-on advice and instruction for making better pizza. No surprise turnout was so strong given the return of our industry experts Tom Lehmann, Jeff Zeak and Paul Nyland. Seminar attendance also was strong during multiple sessions in our Frozen Dessert Theater, where industry experts such Steve Christensen and George Dunlap, helped attendees scoop out secrets for succeeding in the ice cream industry.

Another powerhouse Pizza Pizzazz competition
Big props to this year’s crop of pizza makers who outlasted more than 100 bakers to win the 2012 Pizza Pizzazz competition. First place finishers were Brad Corbin and Matt Mangan, both of Sloopy’s Sports Café in Lakeside, Ohio. Both won $6,000 in cash and prizes. Corbin’s Hibachi Pizza took first place in the Gourmet division, while Mangan’s Meatball Supreme pizza took top honors in the Gourmet division.
