The free course, offered as part of the Ohio Restaurant Association’s “Restaurant Education Series,” will focus on hiring for safety, integrity and reducing workers’ compensation costs. Attendees will also learn about methods for minimizing undesirable workplace behavior; the value of background checks; and effective record-keeping.  This course also satisfies the Ohio BWC’s two-hour training requirement and was designed specifically for the foodservice industry and addresses poor hiring and firing practices that contribute significantly to increasing workers' compensation costs.
